How Collagen
Stimulation Works
Collagen stimulators offer a regenerative approach to facial rejuvenation, working beneath the surface to encourage your body’s natural collagen production. As collagen rebuilds over time, the skin can become firmer, stronger, and more supported, while volume, contour, and overall skin quality gradually improve.
At Niche Aesthetics, Sculptra® and Radiesse® are carefully selected based on your facial anatomy, degree of collagen loss, skin quality, and aesthetic goals—creating results that feel refined, balanced, and naturally your own.
Two Treatments.
One Regenerative Philosophy
Sculptra®
Collagen Restoration. Natural Evolution.
Sculptra offers a gradual approach to facial rejuvenation, stimulating collagen production within the deeper layers of the skin rather than creating immediate volume.
As collagen rebuilds over time, facial structure, skin firmness, and overall volume gradually improve – making Sculptra well suited to patients seeking subtle, natural-looking rejuvenation that develops progressively.

Radiesse®

Radiesse is a biostimulatory injectable that provides structural support while also encouraging natural collagen production.

Our Approach
At Niche Aesthetics, collagen stimulation begins with a comprehensive assessment of facial structure, volume distribution, skin quality, and areas of collagen loss.
Treatment is never based on a one-size-fits-all approach. Sculptra, Radiesse, Hyperdilute Radiesse, or a combination of techniques may be recommended depending on your anatomy and desired outcome.
Because collagen remodeling occurs over time, treatment plans are designed with both immediate appearance and long-term facial balance in mind. The goal is subtle, considered rejuvenation that strengthens and supports rather than changes the character of your face.
What to Expect
Appointments typically take 30 to 45 minutes, depending on the treatment area and technique performed. Mild swelling, tenderness, bruising, or small injection marks may occur and generally resolve within several days.
Sculptra
Results develop gradually as new collagen forms. Early improvement may become noticeable within several weeks, with continued enhancement over the following months. Results may last up to two years or longer.
Radiesse
Structural improvement may be visible immediately, with further changes developing as collagen production increases. Hyperdilute Radiesse works more gradually, with improvements in skin quality, firmness, and elasticity appearing over the following weeks and months. Radiesse results often last approximately 12 to 18 months.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
Traditional dermal fillers are primarily used to add or restore volume and create immediate contour. Collagen stimulators work differently by encouraging your body to produce more of its own collagen over time. This allows improvements in structure, firmness, and skin quality to develop progressively for a natural-looking result.
-
Both Sculptra® and Radiesse® stimulate collagen, but they work in different ways. Sculptra contains poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) and is designed to gradually rebuild collagen and restore facial support over time. Radiesse contains calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) and can provide immediate structural support while also stimulating collagen and elastin production. Radiesse can also be diluted for treatments focused more broadly on skin quality and firmness.
-
Results depend on the treatment selected. With Sculptra, improvement develops gradually as new collagen is produced, with many patients beginning to notice changes within the first several weeks to months. Radiesse can provide visible structural improvement immediately, followed by continued improvement as collagen production increases.
-
Collagen stimulators may be a good option for patients experiencing facial volume loss, reduced skin firmness, thinning skin, or early signs of aging who prefer a more gradual, regenerative approach to rejuvenation. The best treatment will depend on your facial anatomy, skin quality, and individual goals, which are assessed during your consultation.
-
Longevity varies depending on the product, treatment area, and individual response. Sculptra results can last up to two years, while Radiesse results have also been shown to last up to two years in some treatment settings. Maintenance treatments may be recommended to help preserve your results.
-
Downtime is generally minimal. Temporary swelling, tenderness, redness, bruising, or small injection marks may occur following treatment and typically improve over the following days. Your provider will review specific aftercare instructions based on the product and areas treated.
-
Your treatment plan will depend on your anatomy, degree of collagen loss, and desired outcome. Sculptra is commonly performed as a series of two to three treatment sessions over several months. The number of Radiesse treatments needed varies based on the treatment area and individual goals.
-
Yes. Collagen stimulators may be incorporated into a broader treatment plan alongside other aesthetic treatments when appropriate. At Niche Aesthetics, your provider will assess your facial structure, skin quality, and goals before recommending the most suitable combination and treatment sequence.
